About Laura
Laura has broad experience as an insurance account executive, art instructor, and community advocate. She is currently a Senior Stop-Loss Specialist at Sun Life Financial. Laura's other experience includes
- Town Meeting Member for the past eight years
- Co-founder of Friends of Brookside, a local organization in her neighborhood
- Co-founder of Art in the Park
In 2011, Laura was honored to be chosen as one of the “Wellesley Townsman 10”
for her work on the designation of Brookside Road as a scenic road, and her creation of the Wellesley Community Art Project which brought the work of local artists to vacant storefronts on Central Street. Laura was nominated for the honor by the members of the Wellesley Planning Board,
who wrote in a letter to the Townsman that they wished to recognize Laura “for her tireless involvement in several important endeavors within
the town,” saying, “Laura’s efforts have created a dialogue and partnerships that will work to benefit Wellesley Square and hopefully other areas of the town.”
Laura's former last name was Fragasso.
